Cara and I are making sure we don't let our first October in Sacramento bore us. We've already had lots of great adventures and have more fun to look forward to:
(1) The first weekend in October, we met some good friends in Las Vegas for Garth Brooks at the Wynn. Poolside at the Mandalay Bay by day, seriously entertained by night, and good friends throughout. An amazing trip.
(2) October 15-17th brings our 1st wedding anniversary (love you, babe!) and we are headed to Napa to celebrate! We found a pet-friendly hotel too, so we'll have Bounce with us and we are super excited for our big adventure in wine country (this coming weekend - woohoo!).
(3) October 22-24th we return to the Pacific NW for the Oregon VisionWalk in Portland, OR. My parents, brother and his wife, Cara's parents, Cara's sister and family and some good family friends will all be walking with us in support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness' efforts to find a cure to vision loss. We are so excited for a great weekend with amazing family and friends, supporting a wonderful cause!
(4) Finally, we end October with a bang. On Halloween weekend, Cara and I will be doing the Merrell Down and Dirty run. It's a 5K complete with mud-crawling, obstacles and who knows what else. We can't wait!
And with all the craziness of our first October in Sacramento, something tells me our November is gonna bring a whole lot of "homebody syndrome."
